To whom it may concern:
Through the techniques taught at
Bill Child's Stonemasonry course,
my brother and I gained the
knowledge and confidence to tackle
a major landscaping project in my
backyard.
By applying the skills from the
course such as footing design,
correct mortar mixing masonry tools,
we transformed a steep, unusable
backyard into a terraced yard with
curved granite walls, steps and
planters.
This work was completed for less
than half the cost of a rock wall
contractor, and the final project has
conservatively added $50,000 to
the value of my home.
