You will need:

4 pieces – 2 x 4’s, 15.5” long

2 pieces – ¾” plywood, 15.5” x 15.5”

1 piece – 2 x 2, 13.75” long

TABLE LEGS
The length of these pieces determines the height of your cutting table and should be determined for
the individual using the table. Stand straight up and hold your chisel straight out in front of you or
angled slightly down. You want to be in that position while cutting stone. From the bottom of your
chisel measure down cutting. This gives you the point off the ground where the stones will rest on top
of the subtract 1.5” (3/4” plywood times 2). This will give you the measurement of your table’s legs.
To build your table…
On a flat surface, using 3” nails,
assemble two sections as per diagram
on the right.
1.
Join these two sections with the four
legs that are secured on the inside of
each corner.
2.
Secure the two pieces of plywood on
top of each other on one end of your
table.
3.
4.
Use the two 2 x 2’s to give you a curb
for resting your stones against while
cutting them.
Use screws where possible and
where wood is touching wood.
These two things keep your cutting
table from working loose with the
steady impacts of use.
